Homemade Body Butter for Glowing Skin

This whipped body butter recipe is super simple to make and eliminates dry skin fast. It nourishes and soothes your skin and is made with non-toxic (and easy to find) ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 70 g Shea Butter
  • 29 g Sunflower Oil
  • 1 g essential oils

Instructions

  • Combine shea butter and sunflower oil and melt in a double boiler.
  • Once melted, take off the heat and let it cool down to 40C (113F). You can speed up this process by placing the container in the fridge or freezer.
  • Add the essential oils.
  • Cool down the mixture until it starts to solidify. You can speed up the process by placing the container in the fridge or freezer and stir occasionally.
  • Add the arrowroot powder (if using).
  • Whip with an electric whisk. If it gets soft or liquid during whipping, cool down some more.
  • Continue the process of cooling and whisking util you get your desired consistency.
  • Scoop into desired packaging.
