Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 Tbsp Beeswax
  • 1 Tbsp Cocoa Butter
  • 1 Tbsp Shea Butter
  • 10 drops of Peppermint Essential Oil

Instructions

  • Melt cocoa butter and beeswax over low heat in a double boiler. I used a large pyrex measuring cup as the double boiler and with a small amount of water in the pot.
  • Add the shea butter until melted (adding the shea butter last will help prevent it from getting grainy once it has cooled).
  • Remove from heat. Stir in peppermint essential oil.
  • Immediately pour into lip balm tubes (or jars/pots). Allow cooling before adding caps. Let sit at room temperature until solid, which usually takes 2 to 4 hours in a moderate climate.
  • Add a label with glue stick or adhesive tape runner.
