Vegan Lip Balm Recipe with Shea Butter

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp Shea Butter
  • 2 Tbsp Coconut Oil
  • 2 tbsp Candelilla wax (or soy wax or Carnauba wax)
  • 1 Tbsp Almond Oil
  • 5 drops of Vitamin E Oil
  • 10 drops of Lavender Essential Oil

Instructions

  • Measure candelilla wax, shea butter, and coconut oil and put on top of a double boile
  • Melt the butters and waxes over low heat in your double boiler until completely combined
  • Let it cool for a couple of minutes. Add your oils and Vitamin E oil and stir again.
  • Pour the mixture into a small glass jar or lip balm tube. Let cool completely before using.

Notes

  • Your lip balm should last for about 6 months without preservatives.
  • To make your balm more of a lip gloss-like consistency, add more coconut oil. To make it firmer and less glossy, add more wax.
