How to make handmade fall soap
Making melt and pour soap with essential oils is one of the easiest beauty crafts you can make.
I use about 500 g/1 lb (or half of the block) of soap base at a time, making four large or six smaller soaps. You can easily cut the goat milk’s soap base with a kitchen knife. Slice the soap base into cubes, place them into a large microwave-safe and heatproof jug (I use this one), and melt them in the microwave for about 20-30 seconds. The double boiler works great as well. Stir well after this first session and melt again for 30 seconds. Remember to stir well after each microwave session.

Once completely melted, stir in 1 tablespoon of pumpkin seed oil, vitamin E oil, pumpkin pie spice (optional), 15 drops of pumpkin pie essential oil, and colorant (if using). I added 1/6 teaspoon of brown mica to my soap because I wanted it to be a subtle color instead of bright orange. If you prefer a brighter orange, add more color until you reach the desired shade. To dissolve the bubbles, spray the top of each soap with rubbing alcohol. Pour the melted soap into the mold and allow it to cool. You can place it in the fridge for 30 minutes or until hard to the touch.

If you don’t have or don’t want to use pumpkin seed oil, you can make pumpkin spice melt and pour soap with coconut oil (any other liquid oil also works great). I like adding vitamin E oil to my natural soap recipes because the vitamin fights free radical damage and is an important ingredient for anti-aging skincare.
If you can’t find a pumpkin pie essential oil, you can use a mix of essential oils for the DIY pumpkin spice soap.
