Why Do Some People Struggle With Cellulite?

Cellulite, even the word is ugly! Unfortunately if you are prone to cellulite, its probably genetic. Thanks mom and dad! However, it’s also caused by poor circulation, fat pockets, and female hormones.

That’s why women are more prone to cellulite than men. Most often you’ll see cellulite deposits on your rear end, thighs, legs, and maybe even upper arms.

Your diet can help to prevent cellulite, as can exercise and hydration. But treating your problem areas consistently is also necessary. If you commit to one full month of actively treating your body, and combine that with exercise, and improved diet and drink tons of water, you should see improvement.

Benefits of the Ingredients

Ginger Essential Oil – is a great natural ingredient when it comes to cellulite treatments. Thanks to its de-puffing properties, ginger helps minimize the appearance of dimpling. It also enhances blood circulation.

Lavender Essential Oil– deeply soothing and plumping the skin.

Grapeseed oil – rich in collagen.

Vitamin C – one of the best vitamins in the battle against cellulite.

Cypress extract – aids in toxin removal and acts as a natural detoxifier of the body.

Fractionated Coconut oil-helps tighten, firm, and moisturize the skin in areas where cellulite is a problem.

Vitamin E Oil – a fat-soluble vitamin. Vitamin E is the most abundant antioxidant in human skin.

✓ Brown Sugar – one of the best natural beauty ingredients to exfoliate your skin. Sugar scrubs are mild and help remove dead skin. They also help rejuvenate the skin by cleaning all the dirt from the skin’s pores.

How to Make DIY Body Scrub that targets cellulite

Step 1. Mix the grapeseed oil, fractionated coconut oil, vitamin E oil and essential oils in a small bowl.

Step 2. In a separate bowl, mix together the sugar and vitamin C powder. Add these to the oils and stir until well combined.

Step 3. Store in an airtight glass container.

Note: Try not to get water in your sugar scrub. Always use care in the tub or shower when using products that contain oil as it may make surfaces more slippery.

Storage Instructions

Once your DIY cellulite scrub is ready, store it in an airtight container in a dark place, like in a cabinet or closet, for up to 6 months. The ingredient with the shortest best-before date will determine the exact shelf life.

Ingredients Ratio

For this ginger sugar scrub recipe, you can vary the sugar-to-coconut-oil/grapeseed oil ratio depending on your preference. I started with about 200g of sugar and added 30 g of coconut oil and 40 g of grapeseed oil, but you can increase the sugar for a thicker consistency or add more oil as necessary.
Note: Try not to get water in your sugar scrub. Always use care in the tub or shower when using products that contain oil as it may make surfaces more slippery.
